Montclair House Renovation
Keil Design bought a dilapidated house in Montclair,
NJ and has renovated it from top to bottom.
In May 2008, we stripped the house down to the studs
and floor joists, and even removed much of the structure
as well, including chimneys. We updated the layout to
two condos; first floor contains a new modern kitchen
with stainless appliances and granite countertops, two
bedrooms and two luxury baths. The upper level condo
features a spacious eat-in kitchen with stainless appliances
and granite countertops, three bedrooms and two baths.
We placed new Oak floors throughout the house, and tile
floors in all 5 baths. We installed Cat5 internet cable
in all bedrooms, living rooms and both kitchens, cable
TV and telephone. We also added intercoms to both apartments
with front-door buzzers. In keeping with our green building
theme, we updated the heat and central air-conditioning
units to feature high-efficiency models.
Here are photos of the completed project.
